Maestro
Maestro is a debit product within the Mastercard offering. Maestro cards can be used for in-store payments and for withdrawing cash at ATMs. This payment method requires online electronic authorization for nearly every transaction, even though Mastercard's rules allow the establishment of floor limits on Maestro EMV chip transactions only.
Mastercard has made the call to transition its Maestro brand of payment cards to Debit Mastercard. Learn more about this transition here.
