Adyen, the financial technology platform of choice for leading companies, announced that its payment platform has been adopted by Dinii Inc for their newly launched cashless payment service for restaurants, "Dinii Cashless".

Due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, there has been an increasing demand for contactless ordering and payment systems in the restaurant industry. With the increase in uptake for mobile order POS systems, more restaurants are introducing mobile order systems equipped with online payment functions. However, in many cases, the order system and payment system, while seemingly integrated, actually operate as separate systems. As a result, restaurant owners needed to contract and manage both systems individually, which required significant time and effort.

Looking to solve this challenge, Dinii has decided to integrate Adyen's payment platform into their "Dinii Cashless" service for both offline and online payments via API. For restaurants that wish to use offline payments, Dinii will utilize Adyen's latest POS terminals, "AMS1" and "S1F2," in a plug-and-play state.

This allows restaurants to use both the order system and payment system simply by contracting with Dinii, enabling a one-stop solution from order to payment. Updates to the payment terminals will be managed collectively by Dinii, allowing each restaurant to use the latest software. Additionally, contracts with payment processing agents will no longer be necessary, freeing restaurant owners from complex contractual procedures.

Mao Yamada, CEO of Dinii Inc, commented:

"We are very pleased to be able to offer innovative solutions to the restaurant industry through our collaboration with Adyen. We are confident that this new service will contribute to improving operational efficiency and customer satisfaction for restaurant owners."

Adam Brownstein, Adyen's Country Manager for Japan, stated:

"We expect that our collaboration with Dinii will accelerate the digitization of Japan's restaurant industry. Combining our payment technology with Dinii's ordering system will provide operational efficiency to restaurant owners."
